Our Scalable Strategy for Mental Health Education
At 20Talk we leverage the latest advancements in media, technology, and wellbeing to craft a comprehensive strategy that can reach and help thousands of young West Australians. Recognising that mental health needs vary across a continuum, our approach employs a strategic funnel, ensuring a tailored response at every stage.
Awareness Campaigns - Physical Banners + Online Ads: Our journey begins with large banners strategically placed around Perth, featuring self-reflection questions. Over the past year, we estimate that our messages have reached over 2 million individuals. Simultaneously, our high-quality mental health advertisements, addressing pertinent issues affecting young people, further amplify our reach through online platforms.
Online Education: Following interaction with our awareness campaigns, young individuals are directed to our organic online education platforms—Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok. With a combined following of 60,000+ and over 100,000 monthly views, these channels serve as hubs for in-depth mental health resources. Lived experience interviews, podcasts, and conversations with mental health professionals create an engaging and accessible resource for our audience.
Physical Mental Health Maintenance Training: The final part our strategy lies in the Mental Health Maintenance training, offered both physically and online. This one-day course comprises 12 wellbeing modules developed by mental health specialists across Perth, including emotional regulation researchers, psychologists, sleep psychologists, financial planners, and First Nation elders. This holistic approach aims to equip young adults with practical skills to navigate life's challenges effectively.
